Taste the Nations: Celebrating a Legacy Scheduled for October 13 at ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯

By NWC News DeskTickets are on sale for “Taste the Nations: Celebrating a Legacy”, scheduled for Thursday, October 13, at 6 p.m. in the ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯ Yellowstone Building Conference Center. The event is produced by the NWC Office of Intercultural Programs, and this year honors Professor Emerita Harriet Bloom-Wilson.
Tickets are $50 and may be purchased online at . Those attending are asked to RSVP by September 30. A social hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by the main event at 7 p.m. The night’s menu includes French cuisine and wine, with hors d’oeuvres, salad, a main course, and dessert.
This year’s honoree, Ms. Bloom-Wilson, has served as ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯’s primary cultural ambassador for 40 years, first as a member of the faculty and now as a retiree. Born and raised in New York, she completed her graduate studies at the University of New Mexico, where she met her husband, Dr. Richard Wilson.
In January 1981, the couple moved to Powell, where they raised their daughters and established roots at the college and in the community. Since her retirement in 2012, Harriet has continued her service as an advisor to the NWC Intercultural Programs Office staff and a dedicated programming volunteer.
Taste the Nations aims to raise funds for the Additional donations provide international student scholarships and supports student travel funding.
