The ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯ Rodeo program has been selected as a 2019 Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame Great Montana College Rodeo and will be honored at a banquet Saturday, Jan. 26, in Billings, Montana.

The Hall of Fame was founded in 2001 to honor Montana’s professional rodeo champions. A brick and granite “Wall of Fame” was constructed in the shadow of an 18-foot bronze statue of Billings’ six-time world champion Dan Mortensen.

Mortensen, an alum of ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯, earned the Distinguished Alumnus award in 1994.

This organization is the largest provider of college scholarships for young men and women who plan to rodeo collegiately in the nation. With more than 14 years of volunteer work by its members, the Hall of Fame has awarded nearly $500,000 in scholarships.

“It’s a great honor for our program to be recognized by this organization,” NWC Rodeo Coach Del Nose said. “We’re fortunate to have so many dedicated, hard-working athletes who continuously help us build this program for both current and future team members.”

Founded in 2001, Nose was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the organization’s first year.

The Hall of Fame also recognizes Montana Rodeo legends as well as ranches and rodeos from the Montana agricultural community for lifetime commitment to the western way of life.

The banquet, which will recognize all 2019 inductees, gets underway at the Convention Center. To learn more about the Hall of Fame, visit .
