NWC Foundation Board elects new members and officers

The ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯ Foundation Board of Directors elected a new slate of officers and new directors at its Wednesday, Feb. 2, meeting.

The officers include Shawn Warner of Powell as president, Steve Rockhold (Billings) as vice president, Tim Hopkins (Cody) as second vice president, Shirley Stephens (Cody) as secretary, Trace Paul (Powell) as treasurer, Bill Hayes (Shell) as assistant secretary and Bryan Lee (Powell) as assistant treasurer.

Newly-elected board members include Park County School District #1 Superintendent Jay Curtis, CPA at Whittle, Hamilton & Associates, P.C. Nathan Keefer and former Wyoming State Rep. David Northrup, all of Powell, and 307 Real Estate agent Jona Harris of Cody.

Curtis, Keefer and Northrup are alumni of ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯.

“It’s exciting to welcome our new board members, who all bring different expertise, to the Foundation Board,” NWC Foundation President Shawn Warner said. "Our organization is helping ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯ embrace its future by collaborating to raise funds for a new student center on campus. As always, we will continue growing our endowment and providing support for NWC’s students, faculty, staff and projects.”

Members who were reelected for another term include Clay Cummins (Billings), Ron Hill (Cody), Sarah Johnson (Cowley), Jacque Michel (Thermopolis) and Ron Weathermon (Basel Switzerland). The board of directors consists of 28 members serving 3-year rotating terms.

Additionally, Foundation Board member Gloria Hedderman, who also served as an NWC Trustee, of Powell was granted Emeritus status upon her retirement from the board.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to securing and managing private gifts for ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯. With assets totaling more than $50 million, its vision of “Good Scholarship” reflects support both for students and for scholarly endeavors on campus.
