The ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯ Foundation Board of Directors elected two new directors at its last meeting.
Newly-elected board members include retired educator and longtime NWC trustee Carolyn Danko and Wyoming State Senator and retired educator R.J. Kost, both of Powell.
Danko came to Powell in 1969 when her husband began teaching at ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯. Also an educator, Danko taught public school for four decades. She’s attended the University of North Dakota and Kansas State University and earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wyoming.
Kost was a mathematics instructor, a coach and the curriculum coordinator in Wyoming public schools for over four decades. Born and raised on a farm, agriculture is also one of his passions. He received a double major bachelor’s from Rocky Mountain College and his master’s from the University of Wyoming. He also served one term as Senator for District 19 in Wyoming.
“It’s exciting to welcome our two new board members who bring a vast amount of educational expertise to the Foundation Board,” NWC Foundation President Shawn Warner said. “As we move toward the future, we look forward to continue growing our endowment and providing support for NWC’s students, faculty, staff and projects.”
Members who were reelected for another term include Dave Bonner (Powell), Bryan Lee (Powell), Trace Paul (Powell), Charlotte Patrick (Powell), Steve Rockhold (Billings) and Dusty Schutzman (Cody). The board of directors consists of 29 members serving 3-year rotating terms.
