Northwest Civic Orchestra Presents “Boogie Back to the 70s” on November 9

POWELL, WYOMING – The Northwest Civic Orchestra, conducted by Maurine Akin, has scheduled its 2024 fall concert, titled “Boogie Back to the 70s” for Saturday, November 9 in the Nelson Performing Arts Auditorium. The concert runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a reception to follow immediately thereafter.

General admission ticket prices are $12, seniors 62 and up are $8, and students and children are admitted free of charge. Tickets will only be sold at the door on the evening of the event.

Concert goers will be able to step back in time and re-live the decade of the 70s with some of its most iconic musical numbers. Featuring the music from enduring movies such as “Jaws”, “Star Wars”, “Rocky”, “Summer of 42”, “Grease” and “Brian’s Song”, Boogie Back to the 70s is a nostalgic trip down memory lane for those who lived through the decade, and an opportunity for others to experience a time when life was much different than today.

Other popular songs on the program include “Breaking Up is Hard to Do”, “Feelings”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and more.
