The ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯ Alumni Association invites area residents to participate in an October 2019 trip to Croatia, Slovenia and Venice.

The trip, scheduled for Oct. 1-14, 2019, explores the region’s history, geography and culture. Travelers will have opportunities ranging from sightseeing, visiting the Dalmatian Islands of Korcula and Hvar, touring Plitvice Lakes National Park, exploring the Sheppard Museum in Bohinj and many more.

NWC Professors Emeriti Richard Wilson and Harriet Bloom-Wilson are planning and will help lead the trip, which is organized and designed exclusively for the group by Gate 1 Travel Tours.

As experienced world travelers, the Wilsons have led college field studies classes throughout Spain, France, Ireland, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.

Meetings preceding the trip will cover the history, literature, art, language and customs of the places to be visited.

Other items of interest on the itinerary include sharing a meal with a Dubrovnik family as guests in their home, a sightseeing tour of Hvar and viewing the first public theater in Europe, as well as optional activities including full days in Montenegro or the Istrian Peninsula.

The cost per person for the trip, based on double occupancy, is $4,680, which covers airfare and accommodations in first-class hotels. The cost also covers a number of meals, admission to a variety of venues and transportation costs.

The tour is limited to around 22 participants and sign-ups are now taking place. To register or get more information about the trip, contact Bloom-Wilson at hbloomwilson@gmail.com.

Registration and a $300 deposit are due by Saturday, Dec. 15. Deposits may be sent to the ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯ Foundation, 231 W 6th St., Powell, WY, 82435.
