The TRIO area encompasses the entire lower-level of the Frisby building. There are dedicated rooms for group study and quiet study, along with many other multi-use rooms and areas. There are also 10 computers available for student use and a black and white, two sided, printer/copier/scanner/fax.
We have laptop computers, calculators, audio recorders and text books that you can check-out for the entire semester. Be sure to stop by TRIO early in the semester for the best selection.
Student help workshops and one-on-one appointments are available for you to get help with FAFSA, scholarships, academic planning, degree selection, study skills, life strategies, money management, career choices, and/or transferring to a four-year university.
Peer mentors are academically minded, current NWC students available to help you learn about ΑρΑ«Φ±²₯ and how to succeed in classes. Mentors are available for drop-in or scheduled assistance with general academic questions, time management appointments and college success tips.
Cultural events to things happening on and around campus are offered a few times each semester. These trips are available to students at no cost. In past years we have taken trips to Yellowstone National Park, Thermopolis, plays and shows in Billings and Red Lodge, hikes to the Medicine Wheel and visits to other local attractions.
You do not have to be in the transfer process to join us on these trips; we want you to know what opportunities are out there for you. We will pay for your meals, lodging, and transportation, and set up a campus tour, meeting with an admissions representative, and advisor in area of interest.
